Description
Kverneland 2800 FS models, with 3.2 or 3.6m working width, is a front disc mower with an actively driven swath former, designed for both narrow swathing and widespreading. With the option of 3 different swath widths (1.00, 1.15 and 1.30m) and wide spreading up to 2.20m, this machine offers exactly the flexibility that most farmers are looking for. It is characterized by outstanding ground following ability, easy operation and low weight, leading to excellent cutting performance and ground following ability in all terrain. At standard settings the cutterbar has a remarkable 430mm upwards and 210mm downwards adaptation range, in combination with a transverse pivoting range of 17°.
Features
Features
- Kverneland uses round discs. Round discs are less susceptible to stone impact, and reduce shock loads in the transmission.
- Stones are expelled immediately, before they have any chance of becoming jammed. The benefits are lower repair and maintenance costs - at the same time as a clean and aggressive cut.
- The cutterbar has a high oil capacity, ensuring a very low working temperature. This ensures an efficient oil cooling and lubrication of the entire cutterbar.
- The long curved gear wheels running in oil provides a very quiet and reliable power transmission.
- The fully welded cutterbar gives a very stiff and strong design for high durability.
- With the ProFit quick knife change system, maintenance of the cutting ability is easy. The knives are changed by one simple operation using the special lever.
- Standard PTO speed is 1000 rpm. However by simply switching driveline pulleys, 750 rpm for reduced fuel consumption can be achieved.
- This makes it possible to maintain the correct PTO speed, but using reduced engine revs, creating an opportunity for lower fuel consumption – an innovative solution to the problem of front PTO systems not offering an Economy speed.
- The crop is not touching the ground, but moved as it is cut, leaving no chance for dirt or soil being mixed up with the swath.
- The auger immediately moves the crop away from the discs, inviting for excellent cutting performance.
- Each side of the auger is working in combination with a guide plate, that efficiently transports the crop to the middle without any crop loss or crop pollution.
- The Kverneland 2832 FS leaves a fluffy box shaped swath, and is not just dropping the mown crop onto the ground.
- The Kverneland 2832 FS is not moving two swaths next to each other like drum mowers concept typically does, but places the crop into one even and airy swath. This significantly speeds up the drying process and prepares the speeds up the drying process.
- Unique and patented actively driven swathing auger system.
- With the option of 3 different swath widths (1.00, 1.15 and 1.30) and wide spreading of up to 2.20m the 2832 FS offers exactly the flexibility that most farmers are looking for.
- Narrow swath that will go well in-between the tractor wheels.
- Wide spreading invites for faster wilting of crop.
- The different swath options allow the operator to adjust the swath width to both weather and material to ensure that the correct moisture and swath quality is achieved.
All Set in a Minute - Easy Adjustment of Swath Width
- Changing from one swath application to the next is made very easy, without any downtime or need for rebuilding the mower.
- Changing between the different swath widths is done in a minute and can be done directly in the field - no tools required.
- There is no need to leave the field and go back to the workshop for changing from swathing to wide spreading. All you have to do is release the locks on each guide plate, swipe them to the requested swath width, and lock again.
- The 2800 F and 2800 FS machines are characterized by excellent cutting performance and ground following ability in all terrain. The design does not require a flexible front linkage, as the movement is build into the machine.
- To ensure best possible pattern of movement, the mowing unit moves independently from the front linkage.
- The mower design allows a transverse adaptation of up to 17°.

Product FAQ`s
The Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger requires at least 45 hp for the 2832 FS and 55 hp for the 2836 FS, based on current international specifications. Both models use Category 2 linkage and support 750 or 1,000 PTO rpm. Confirm the applicable market specification when matching the mower to your tractor.
Choose the 3.16 m Kverneland 2832 FS or the 3.57 m Kverneland 2836 FS. The right Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger depends on tractor capacity, field access, workload, transport restrictions, and required crop placement. The wider 2836 FS offers greater cutting width but has a 3.4 m transport width.
The actively driven auger on the Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger moves cut crop towards the centre and forms a controlled swath. Operators can select swath widths of 1.00, 1.15, or 1.30 m, or spread the crop up to 2.20 m wide, depending on weather, crop material, and the following operation.
Choose the Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger when controlled swath formation is important. A standard plain mower cuts without an actively driven swath former, with no swath forming ability. Consider tractor capacity, crop type, drying strategy, wheel spacing, and whether the crop will be collected directly or handled by a tedder, rake, baler, or loader wagon.
Yes. The Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger can spread cut crop up to 2.20 m wide. Wide spreading exposes more crop for drying, while the narrower settings form concentrated swaths. This flexibility allows crop placement to be adapted to weather, crop material, and the next harvesting operation.
The Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger can form a narrow central swath designed to pass between the tractor wheels. This crop placement may support collection by a following machine. Confirm the selected swath width, tractor wheel spacing, loader-wagon pickup width, tractor capacity, and complete combination with your Kverneland dealer.
The Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger offers swath widths of 1.00, 1.15, or 1.30 m. Suitability for a baler or forage harvester depends on pickup width, crop volume, swath density, and the complete harvesting setup. Compare the selected swath setting with the receiving machine before operation.
Yes. The Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger can provide front-mounted cutting and controlled crop placement in one pass. Choose the 3.16 or 3.57 m model according to tractor capacity and required output. Confirm front-lift capacity, PTO compatibility, hydraulics, axle loads, tyres, ballast, and the intended crop-handling process before operation.
A rear mower can extend the capacity of the Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger. Suitable models include Kverneland 2800 series rear-mounted mowers. The correct combination depends on front and rear working widths, overlap, tractor power, linkage and PTO capacity, hydraulics, axle loads, and transport dimensions. Ask your Kverneland dealer to confirm an approved mower pairing and complete cutting pattern.
Yes. The Kverneland 2800 FS series front-mounted plain mower with auger has a two-speed gearbox for 750 or 1,000 PTO rpm. This provides flexibility when matching the mower to the tractor and operating objective. Follow the Kverneland operator manual for the approved speed-selection and driveline-adjustment procedure.
