Description
Kverneland 2600 M rear mounted disc mower series with working widths of 2.81 – 3.16m. It offers very reliable performance, easy handling and high output at low power requirements. Due to the flexible suspension, this mower is exceptionally well suited for work on slopes and in hilly conditions, with an operating angle of 35° up and down. An integrated NonStop BreakBack system will protect the cutterbar from foreign obstacles. When in transport, the mower is folded hydraulically to a vertical position well behind the tractor.
Features
Features
- Kverneland uses round discs. Round discs are less susceptible to stone impact, and reduce shock loads in the transmission.
- Stones are expelled immediately, before they have any chance of becoming jammed. The benefits are lower repair and maintenance costs - at the same time as a clean and aggressive cut.
- The cutterbar has a high oil capacity, ensuring a very low working temperature. This ensures an efficient oil cooling and lubrication of the entire cutterbar.
- The long curved gear wheels running in oil provides a very quiet and reliable power transmission.
- The fully welded cutterbar gives a very stiff and strong design for high durability.
- With the ProFit quick knife change system, maintenance of the cutting ability is easy. The knives are changed by one simple operation using the special lever.
- To offer maximum protection of the cutterbar, these machines are fitted with the well-known Kverneland BreakBack solution.
- When encountering an obstacle, the BreakBack will swing the machine backwards and over the obstacle, returning it to the original working position once the obstacle has been passed
- Kverneland 2600 series offers a very flexible suspension giving perfect ground contour following.
- This ensures that the mower is able to adapt to extremely uneven field conditions, giving the best mowing result.
- The linkage of Kverneland 2600 ensures that the mower is capable of working on steep angles or in hilly conditions.
- For extreme hilly conditions an optional hillside equipment is offered.
- On headlands the mower is lifted without activating the three-point linkage of the tractor which needs no adjustment in the field. A clever and simple solution ensuring good clearance and eliminating swath damage.

Product FAQ`s
The Kverneland 2600 M series side-mounted plain disc mower requires at least 45 hp for the 2624 M, 50 hp for the 2628 M, and 55 hp for the 2632 M. All three models use a 540 rpm PTO and Category 2 linkage. Always confirm that your tractor has sufficient three-point lift capacity and stability.
Choose the 2.40 m Kverneland 2624 M from 45 hp, the 2.81 m 2628 M from 50 hp, or the 3.16 m 2632 M from 55 hp. The right Kverneland 2600 M series side-mounted plain disc mower depends on tractor capacity, acreage, field access, required output, transport, and storage needs.
Set the flexible suspension of the Kverneland 2600 M series side-mounted plain disc mower according to field contours and the approved procedure for your model. The mower can follow uneven ground and work at angles up to 35 degrees upward or downward. Use the Kverneland operator manual for the correct linkage and flotation settings.
Adjust the cutting height of the Kverneland 2600 M series side-mounted plain disc mower according to field conditions and the required stubble height. Use the approved linkage position and cutterbar-angle procedure in the Kverneland operator manual. Secure the tractor and mower and follow all specified safety instructions before making adjustments.
NonStop BreakBack protects the Kverneland 2600 M series side-mounted plain disc mower when it encounters an obstacle. The mower swings backward and over the obstruction, then returns to its original working position after the obstacle has passed. This helps protect the cutterbar and allows mowing to continue without manual resetting.
Every Kverneland 2600 M series side-mounted plain disc mower has a transport width of 1.40 m and folds hydraulically into a vertical position behind the tractor. This compact position supports access and storage planning. Confirm the parked height, detached floor space, shed access, and approved support procedure for your selected model.
